Ali

My rendition of ~Egek's character Ali. Ali is a low level tech in a Turkish paramilitary unit designed for dealing with alien life. Here he finds himself on an alien world being led around by one of the locals. You guys know the scenario (although it's my experience that it usually only happens in high school and college): You go to a new place, don't know what anything is, and some girl grabs you by the arm and starts showing you around. And everything she shows you is totally irrelevant and you probably couldn't care less, but the truth is she's not interested in your reaction to the pointless stuff, she's interested in your reaction to her.

Anyways, I'm mostly pleased with this one. Of course I'm displeased with the quality of the scan, how it manages to wash out my colors but accentuate every little pigment blot that's out of place. But, as TPau would say, "The air is the air, what can be done." Unfortunately I inked it, it was a rather absent minded move late at night, and not part of my original plan, but since I inked part of it I had to ink the whole foreground. Other than that, it's all colored pencil.
