Bryan Adams, done for ~timbo19, with colored pencil. I just wish that you all could see the original, the scanner really washes out the color and the resolution is none to great either. There were also some weird color patches that appeared, probably because the scanner is low quality and it has a hard time with black. Actually, in hindsight I probably should have made some tutorial vlogs on this one because I used a variety of techniques. Used way more than 3 tones on the smaller Bryan Adam('s), and 4 or 5 colorless tones on the b & w Brian Adams in the middle. But I didn't because I did not feel like holding the camera this time. At any rate, I wish I could say that the background was inspired by his music. I did listen to his music during multiple stages of production in order to get a good feel for what I was doing, but for the background I just sort of went crazy and tapped into my mood at the time. Now if I had gone by his music for the background, I would have used reds, purples, pinks, and blues, and the shapes would have been more vertically oriented. I definitely do not get a sense of yellow or green out of his music. If I had it to do over again, I would do it differently for sure.

Even so, it's a pretty interesting montage.

You know who the black and white one reminds me of? Simon Cowell. At least a little bit.

And the background reminds me of the sixties. LSD hallucinations, yay!

Nice, the finished piece looks amazing. Now I kind of like the figure in the middle instead of the one of the side. The black and white figure came out really well. I like the colour effect with the bubbles too.

I'm glad you like him. They are all actually based off of photos. The one on the left I did first and tried to make as accurate as possible, but the one on the right was a really washed out photo where it looked mostly white and grey, so I livened him up a bit with some different colors, and I used about 5 or 6 tones in some areas so it would have made a good tutorial. The B & W one was originally a B&W photo, I thought about colorizing it but I wanted to have it stand out more so I elected not too, except for the eyes. I thought it would be cool to have his eyes have color to add emphasis or something.
